PHP header() function could allow cross-site scripting
| php-header-xss (10079) |
Description:
PHP could allow a remote attacker to launch cross-site scripting attacks and cause automatic file downloads, caused by an input validation vulnerability in the header() function. A remote attacker using the PHP header() function could inject malicious script into URL headers by sending a specially-crafted URL request that uses hexadecimal URL encoded characters. This could cause the script to be executed in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the vulnerable server or cause file downloads to be initiated.
