Opera and Konqueror malformed image denial of service

Description:
Opera is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. A remote attacker could send an overly wide image file to a vulnerable application or client, which would cause the victim's Web browser to crash, once the image file is opened.

Remedy:
For Opera 6.01 build 175 for Linux:
Upgrade to the latest version of Opera (6.03 for Linux or later) available from the Opera Software Web site. See References.
For KDE versions prior to 3.01:
Upgrade to the latest version of KDE (3.0.3 or later), available from the K Desktop Environment (KDE) Web site. See References.
For other distributions:
Contact your vendor for upgrade or patch information.
