Description:
Microsoft Windows is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in one of the HTML Help ActiveX control functions. By passing a malformed parameter to the affected HTML Help ActiveX control function, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute commands on the system with the same privileges as the victim. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a malicious Web page that calls the affected HTML Help facility function using the ActiveX control, and hosting it on a Web site or sending it to a victim as an HTML email.
