Description:

The ActiveX Macromedia Flash Player plugin is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of the SWRemote parameter. By creating a malicious Web page that calls Macromedia Flash OCX ActiveX control with an overly long SWRemote parameter, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on a victim's system or cause the victim's Web browser to crash, once the victim visits the malicious page.

Upgrade to Macromedia Flash Player version 6 Public Beta, available from the Macromedia Web site. See References.
