PHP wordwrap() buffer overflow

Description:

PHP is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the wordwrap() function. By sending a specially-crafted request to an affected Web server, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the server or cause the Web server to crash.

Upgrade to the latest version of PHP (4.3.0 or later), available from the PHP Web site. See References.

Upgrade versions dev-php/php-4.2.3 and/or dev-php/mod_php-4.2.3 and earlier, as listed in Gentoo Linux Security Announcement 200301-8. See References.
