Description:

SpamAssassin is vulnerable to buffer overflow, caused by an off-by-one that can occur when "dot" characters (.) are improperly filtered from SMTP lines. If a user is using the SpamAssassin spamc program in BSMTP mode and calls the program with the -B option, a remote attacker could send a specially-crafted email to the user to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with privileges of the spamc user.

Remedy:
