Description:
man2html could allow a local attacker to launch a symlink attack. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a symbolic link in the /tmp directory to overwrite files and gain elevated privileges on the system.
Platforms Affected:
- Debian, Debian Linux 2.1
- Earl Hood, man2html 2.1 and prior
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of man2html (3.0.1 or later), available fromt the man2html Web page. See References.
