Apple QuickTime and Darwin Streaming Server parse_xml.cgi path disclosure
| quicktime-darwin-path-disclosure (11402) |
Description:
Apple's QuickTime Streaming Server and Darwin's Streaming Server could allow a remote attacker to obtain the physical path to the Darwin and QuickTime Administration Server directory. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted HTTP GET request to the parse_xml.cgi script containing a NULL file name parameter, which would cause an error message to be returned containing the physical path to installation directory. An attacker could use this information to launch further attacks against the affected server.
