Microsoft Internet Explorer improper rendering of third party file types could allow code execution

ie-improper-thirdparty-rendering (11848) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

Microsoft Internet Explorer fails to properly filter URL parameters when rendering third party file types. If a third party plugin that has the EnableFullPage feature enabled is installed on a victim's system, a remote attacker could create a specially-crafted URL link containing a reference to a third party file type and embedded script, which would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site, once the link is clicked. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by hosting the malicious URL on a Web site.
