SAP DB SDBINST race condition

Description:
SAP DB is vulnerable to a race condition in the SDBINST installation tool. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to overwrite one of the two SAP database files on the system, and possibly gain root privileges on the system.
Platforms Affected:
- SAP AG, SAP DB 7.3.0.29
- SAP AG, SAP DB 7.4.3.7 beta
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of SAP DB (7.4.03 or later), available from the SAP DB Web site. See References.
