Sun Solaris syslogd buffer overflow

Description:
Sun Solaris is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the syslogd. By sending a UDP packet containing more than 1024 bytes, a remote or local attacker can overflow a buffer and cause a core dump on the system. It is unknown whether this vulnerability could be exploited by a remote attacker to execute code on the system.
