Kerio MailServer do_subscribe, add_acl, list, and do_map modules buffer overflow
| kerio-multiple-modules-bo (12368) |
Description:
Kerio MailServer is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by a vulnerability in multiple modules. By sending a specially-crafted URL request to the do_subscribe, add_acl, do_map or list module with an overly long string in the showuser, folder, user, or folder variable, respectively, a remote attacker with a MailServer account could overflow a buffer and cause the server to crash, and possibly execute arbitrary code on the system. An attacker, without a valid account, could exploit this vulnerability by using HTML or Web-based email or by creating a malicious Web page.
