Description:
Microsoft Windows 2000 could allow a local attacker to gain elevated privileges. Microsoft Windows 2000 fails to properly handle Windows messages, which are used by processes running on Windows to interact with the system and other processes. By running the Accessibility Utility Manager and loading a program and sending a specially-crafted Windows message to the Utility Manager, a local attacker could gain administrative privileges on the system.

Note: Microsoft originally provided a patch for this vulnerability in MS03-025, but it has been superseded by the patch released with MS04-011. See References.
Microsoft is reporting that the patch released with MS03-025 is also superseded by MS04-019. MS04-019 does not reference MS04-011.
