Description:
Sun Solaris is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the runtime linker. A local attacker could supply an overly large LD_PRELOAD environment variable to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.
