Description:

Microsoft Internet Explorer is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking when handling the 'Type' property of an 'Object' tag. By creating a malicious Web page containing an 'Object' tag with an overly long string in the 'Type' property and hosting the page on a Web site or by sending it to a potential victim as an HTML email, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on a victim's system, once the victim views the malicious page using Microsoft Internet Explorer.
