Description:
dbmail is vulnerable to SQL injection, caused by vulnerabilities in the IMAP service. A remote attacker could insert arbitrary SQL code in multiple parameters, such as username and password, which would allow the attacker to obtain sensitive information, bypass authentication, and possibly add, modify or delete data in the backend database.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of dbmail (1.2 or later), available from the dbmail Web site. See References.
