Description:
Linksys EtherFast BEFSX41 routers are vulnerable to a denial of service. If logging is enabled, a remote attacker could create a specially-crafted HTTP request containing a long string for the Log_Page_Num variable, which could cause the router to become unresponsive, once the victim clicks the link. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a malicious Web page and hosting it on a Web site or by sending it to a victim as an HTML email.

Upgrade to the latest firmware version (1.45.3 or later), available from the Linksys Support Web page. See References.
