Description:

The BEA Tuxedo administration console, as used in Tuxedo and WebLogic Enterprise products, is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper validation of startup arguments. By supplying a device name instead of a valid file name as an argument, a remote attacker could cause the administration console to hang when a legitimate user attempts to login.

Remedy:

For Tuxedo 8.1:
Apply Rolling Patch 62 or later for this vulnerability, as listed in BEA Systems Inc. SECURITY ADVISORY (BEA03-38.00). See References.

For all other releases:
Upgrade to the latest version of Tuxedo (8.1 or later) or contact BEA Customer Support, as listed in BEA Systems Inc. SECURITY ADVISORY (BEA03-38.00). See References.
