Description:

Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions (FPSE) is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the FPSE remote debug functionality, caused by improper bounds checking by one of the FPSE dll files. By sending a malformed request to FPSE, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute code on the system with Local System level privileges.

Microsoft originally released a patch for this vulnerability with MS03-051, but it was superseded by the patch released with MS06-017. See References.
