BEA WebLogic malicious data causes denial of service of Node Manager

Description:
BEA WebLogic Server and Express are vulnerable to a denial of service. A remote attacker can send malicious data to the port used by the Node Manager to cause the Node Manager to crash, which prevents the ability of the server to reboot and will not allow management through a console.

For WebLogic Server and Express 8.1:
Upgrade to Service Pack 2, when it becomes available, or upgrade to Service Pack 1 and apply the patch for this vulnerability, as listed in BEA Systems Inc. SECURITY ADVISORY (BEA03-42.00). See References.
For WebLogic Server and Express 7.0 and 7.0.0.1:
