Description:
Sun Solaris is vulnerable to a symlink attack, caused by a vulnerability with ed(1), which is a Sun Solaris Text Editor. Ed(1) creates insecure temporary files. By "root" using ed(1), it is possible for an unprivileged local user to create or overwrite files on the system using a symlink attack.
