Description:
sipd is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper checking of a return value from the gethostbyname_r function. A remote attacker can send a specially-crafted SIP request to cause the sipd proxy to stop responding.
Platforms Affected:
- SX Design, sipd 0.1.2
Remedy:
Upgrade to latest version of sipd (0.1.4 or later), available from the sipd Web site. See References.
