IBM AIX enq format string

Description:
IBM AIX is vulnerable to a format string attack, caused by a vulnerability in the enq program. A local attacker, with printq privileges, could exploit this vulnerability to gain root privileges on the system.
Platforms Affected:
- IBM, AIX 4.3.3
- IBM, AIX 5.1
- IBM, AIX 5.2
Remedy:
For IBM AIX 4.3.3:
Apply the APAR IY45253 patch, as listed in the IBM Security Advisory dated Wed Dec 17 14:42:39 CST 2003. See References.
For IBM AIX 5.1:
Apply the APAR IY46255 patch, as listed in the IBM Security Advisory dated Wed Dec 17 14:42:39 CST 2003. See References.
For IBM AIX 5.2:
Apply the APAR IY45329 patch, as listed in the IBM Security Advisory dated Wed Dec 17 14:42:39 CST 2003. See References.
