Description:
Multiple vendor antivirus products are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a vulnerability in the decompression engine when checking bzip2 files. Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux, Trend Micro InterScan VirusWall, and McAfee Virus Scan for Linux could allow a remote attacker to supply a large bzip2 file to cause the antivirus product to consume a majority of the CPU resources, which would result in a denial of service.

- Kaspersky, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0.1.0 for Linux
- McAfee, VirusScan 4.16.0 for Linux
- TrendMicro, Trend Micro InterScan VirusWall 3.8 Build 1130
