Description:
IBIS Toolbar is a Browser Helper Object (BHO), a type of Dynamic Link Library (DLL) that is used to attach third-party software add-ons to running processes of Microsoft Internet Explorer, allowing the software to have access to events and properties of the browsing session. The toolbar may replace the home page in a user's Web browser and may impact the speed and performance of the Web browser. It loads whenever Internet Explorer starts and bypasses most security software because it acts as a part of the Web browser.
Some of the removal sites call the file TPBS.exe, which is associated with IBIS, by the name Neo Toolbar.
Platforms Affected:
- Microsoft, Windows
Remedy:
If the IBIS Toolbar is not desired, uninstall it from your system. Use an up-to-date antivirus or spybot removal program to determine if the target computer is host to a spybot program.
