Description:

NetScreen firewall/VPN appliances, running on ScreenOS, could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by insecure communications between the NetScreen Security Manager and network devices running ScreenOS. NetScreen Security Manager is used to control and monitor security policies and configuration for NetScreen appliances. Traffic generated between NetScreen Security Manager and ScreenOS is not encrypted, allowing an attacker using a sniffing tool to intercept traffic and recover configuration information.
