BEA WebLogic Server and Express HTTP TRACE cross-site scripting
| weblogic-trace-xss (14959) |
Description:
BEA WebLogic Server and Express are vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted HTTP request containing malicious script, which would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site, once the link is clicked. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal a victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
