Apache HTTP Server mod_digest module could allow an attacker to replay responses
| apache-moddigest-response-replay (15041) |
Description:
The mod_digest module, which allows for user authentication using MD5 Digest Authentication, in Apache HTTP Server versions prior to 1.3.30 fails to properly validate the nonce, which is a parameter that varies with time of a client's response. This vulnerability may allow the attacker to replay a victim's response, if the victim's username and password are the same and the realm is the same, which could allow the attacker to gain unauthorized access to the vulnerable system.
