Mambo Itemid and mosmsg parameter cross-site scripting
|mambo-itemid-xss (15062)||Medium Risk|
Mambo is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could embed malicious script in the Itemid or mosmsg parameter, which would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site, once the link is clicked. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
