Description:

emil is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the encode_mime, encode_uuencode, and the decode_uuencode function. By sending a specially-crafted email message, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system, once emil processes the message.

For Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody):
Upgrade to the latest emil package (2.1.0-beta9-11woody1 or later), as listed in DSA-468-1. See References.
