Description:
Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows 2003 are vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the Negotiate Security Software Provider (SPP). The Negotiate SSP Interface is the component that negotiates the authentication method used when a client connects to a server. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted network message to the victim's system to overflow a buffer and cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code on the system.
