Description:
HP JetAdmin could allow a remote attacker to write arbitrary data to the cache.ini file. By sending a specially-crafted POST request using the __BrowserID variable, a remote attacker can create cache entries in the specified file.
Platforms Affected:
- HP, JetAdmin 6.5
- HP, JetAdmin 7.0
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of HP Web Jetadmin (7.5 or later), available from the Hewlett-Packard Web site. See References.
