Description:

flim creates insecure temporary files. A local attacker could create a symbolic link from a temporary file to an arbitrary file on the system, which could allow the attacker to overwrite files with privileges of the victim running emacs.

For Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody):
Upgrade to the latest flim package (flim_1.14.3-9woody1 or later), as listed in DSA 500-1. See References.

For Red Hat Linux:
