Description:

e107 is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper filtering of user-supplied input by the 'news submit' and 'article submit' functions. A remote attacker could post a message containing malicious script embedded in the login name/author field, which would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site, once the message is viewed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
