Microsoft Windows XP Explorer code execution

Description:
Microsoft Windows XP could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a vulnerability in Windows Explorer. When system folders are created by the desktop.ini file using the class id (CLSID), the CLSID may point to an executable file in the .ShellClassInfo section. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system.
Microsoft reports that this is a variant of the vulnerability addressed in CVE-2006-0012.
