Description:

Horde IMP (Internet Messaging Program) is vulnerable to cross-site scripting. caused by improper filtering of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted email containing malicious code in the Content-type header, which would be executed in the victim¿s Web browser, once the message is viewed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.

Platforms Affected:

  • Gentoo, Linux
  • Horde, IMP prior to 3.2.4

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of Horde IMP (3.2.4 or later), available from the Horde Web site. See References.

Upgrade to the latest version of Horde IMP (3.2.4 or later), as listed in GLSA 200406-11. See References.

For other distributions:
Contact your vendor for upgrade or patch information.
