Blosxom "writeback" plug-in cross-site scripting

Description:
Blosxom is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper filtering of user-supplied input in the 'writeback' plug-in, which fails to properly filter HTML code from the user-supplied input in the comments section. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by embedding malicious script within a specially-crafted comment, which would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site, once the comment is viewed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
