Microsoft IIS crashes processing some GET commands

Description:
Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) could allow a remote attacker to issue a "GET ../.." command to the IIS server and cause it to crash. Concurrently, this attack will also crash any Microsoft Proxy Server running on the system. IIS 2.0 prior to Service Pack 1A is affected by this vulnerability.

Denial of Service
Remedy:
Ensure that your system is using the latest available version of IIS and the latest available Microsoft Service Packs.
