Description:

www-sql could allow a local user to execute arbitrary commands, caused by a vulnerability in the cgi.c file. A local attacker could create a malicious Web page, which would overflow a buffer in the cgi.c file and allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, once the page is executed with www-sql.

For Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody):
Upgrade to the latest www-sql package (0.5.7-17 or later), as listed in DSA-523-1. See References.
