Description:
Enterasys Networks XSR Security Router is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. By sending a specially-crafted packet with the IP record route option enabled, a remote attacker could cause the vulnerable device to crash.
Consequences:
Denial of Service
Remedy:
Apply the patch for this vulnerability, when it becomes available, as listed in ENSRT Incident Note ETS-i-2004-11036. See References.
As a workaround, disable policy-based routing.
