Description:

Shorewall (Shoreline Firewall) could allow the attacker to create or overwrite files on the system with privileges of the Shorewall process.

For Shorewall 2.0.x:
Upgrade to the latest version (2.0.3a or later), available from the Shorewall Web site. See References.

For Shorewall 1.4.x:
Upgrade to the latest version (1.4.10f or later), available from the Shorewall Web site. See References.

For Gentoo Linux:
Upgrade to the latest version of Shorewall (1.4.10f or later), as listed in GLSA 200407-07. See References.

Upgrade to the latest Shorewall package, as listed below. Refer to MandrakeSoft Security Advisory MDKSA-2004:080 : shorewall for more information. See References.
