Description:

SSLtelnetd is vulnerable to a format string attack, caused by vulnerabilities in the telnetd.c file. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to gain root access on the system.

For Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (alias woody):
Upgrade to the latest netkit-telnet-ssl package (0.17.17+0.1 or later), as listed in DSA-529-1. See References.
