Mozilla and Firefox user interface spoofing

mozilla-user-interface-spoofing (16837) The risk level is classified as MediumMedium Risk

Description:

Mozilla and Firefox are open-source Web browsers, developed by the Mozilla project. Mozilla version 1.7 running on Linux and 1.7.1 running on Microsoft Windows, Firefox version 0.9.1 running on Linux and 0.9.2 running on Microsoft Windows, and possibly earlier versions could allow a remote attacker to spoof the user interface. Mozilla and Firefox fails to properly restrict Web sites from including remote (XML User Interface Language) XML files. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to hijack the majority of the user interface, such as tool bars, (Secure Sockets Layer) SSL certificate dialogs, and address bars.
