Mozilla, Firefox and Thunderbird cert_TestHostName certificate spoofing
| mozilla-certtesthostname-certificate-spoof (16868) |
Description:
Mozilla could allow a remote attacker to spoof a trusted certificate. The cert_TestHostName function in the certdb.c file fails to properly validate the hostname. A remote attacker could spoof a trusted certificate using a non-FQDN (fully qualified domain name) and bypass the warning dialog.
