Description:

K Desktop Environment (KDE) creates temporary files insecurely. A local attacker could create a symbolic link from a temporary file to an arbitrary file, which could allow the attacker to create or overwrite files on the system.

For KDE 3.2.3:
Apply the appropriate patches for this vulnerability, as listed in KDE Security Advisory 20040811-2. See References.

For Mandrake Linux:
