Description:

Keene Digital Media Server could allow a local attacker to view passwords in plain text, caused by a vulnerability in the dmscore.db file within the installation directory. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to view usernames and passwords in plain text.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of Keene Digital Media Server (1.0.4 or later), when it becomes available from the Keene Software Web site. See References.
