IMWheel race condition

Description:
IMWheel is a mouse wheel and stick interpreter running on Linux-based operating systems. IMWheel version 1.0.0pre11 and possilbly earlier versions are vulnerable to a race condition when creating insecure temporary files in the /tmp/imwheel.pid file. A local attacker could create a symbolic link from an authorization file to any known file on the system, which would be overwritten once a user executes the /tmp/imwheel.pid program. An attacker could use this vulnerability to overwrite files on the system, and possibly gain elevated privileges or cause a denial of service.
