IBM AIX pioout buffer overflow

Description:
IBM AIX is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the pioout program, caused by improper bounds checking of user-supplied input. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.

- IBM, AIX 5.1
Remedy:
For IBM AIX 4.3.3:
Apply APAR IY28880 patch, available from the IBM Technical Support Web site. See References.
For IBM AIX 5.1:
