ImageMagick BMP file buffer overflow

imagemagick-bmp-Bo (17173) The risk level is classified as LowLow Risk

Description:

ImageMagick is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of user-supplied input in the BMP (Batch Message Processing) file. By sending a specially-crafted BMP file containing runlength images, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and cause ImageMagick to crash, once the victim decodes the malicious file.

Consequences:

Denial of Service
