Description:

Password protect is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by the improper filtering of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could create a malicious URL link to the ChangePassword.asp, index.asp, users_list.asp, users_add.asp, or users_edit.asp script containing embedded code in the ShowMsg parameter, which would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site, once the link is clicked. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
